How is the installation process handled?
Five Star Holiday Décor provides professional installation services for all of our lighting projects. Our experienced, WCB-insured team plans each installation with your property’s architecture and landscaping in mind, following industry best practices to securely install the lights and ensure proper electrical connections.
Are the permanent lights replaceable?
Yes. Each bulb is a separate unit that connects to the others using durable, weatherproof threaded caps. This makes them easy to unscrew, remove, and replace when needed.
How much electricity do the permanent lights use?
Five Star Holiday Decor permanent lighting system is extremely energy-efficient, operating at just 0.1 watts per light. This means you can enjoy bright, vibrant colors and beautiful displays while keeping your energy costs low.
Can the permanent lights handle extreme temperatures?
Yes. Our permanent lighting system is built to withstand even the most extreme weather conditions. Rated IP68 for durability, the lights are fully waterproof and can operate in temperatures ranging from -60°C to +60°C without any issues, ensuring reliable performance year-round.
How many watts is each bulb?
Each bulb operates at just 0.1 watts, making our lighting system highly energy-efficient while still delivering bright, vibrant colors.
Where are the lights installed?
Each home is unique, and so is the installation plan. In most cases, the lights are installed along the outer edge of the soffit, positioned behind the fascia or trim, and face downward for a clean, discreet appearance. That said, we also offer alternative installation solutions to accommodate different home designs or preferences, such as face-mounting.
What is the bulb spacing used?
Our permanent lighting uses an 8-inch bulb spacing, providing consistent coverage and a bright, even display.
Are the lights dimmable?
Yes. The lights are fully dimmable through the mobile app, allowing you to adjust brightness to suit your preference or occasion.
What is the warranty?
We provide a 10-year parts warranty on all permanent lighting system components from the date of installation, along with a minimum 3-year labor warranty.
Where can lights be controlled from?
The lights can be controlled from anywhere using the mobile app on your smartphone. Through the app, you can choose from up to 16 million colors, adjust patterns, create custom schedules, and control different sections of your home separately. Changes can be made whether you’re at home, away, or even traveling abroad. For added convenience, the system can also be integrated with Google Home and Amazon Alexa, allowing voice control throughout your home.
How long does the install take?
Our installations are typically completed in one day. You do not need to be home during the installation, and any special details will be discussed with you in advance if required.
What maintenance is required?
No maintenance is required. Our permanent lighting system is designed for long-lasting performance without the need for servicing.
